Today we've been into Grannie VP's school to meet the children. They are doing families this week, so being introduced to a baby was part of their education. They really loved it and Katie was pretty impressed too. She watched them all and seemed quite interested.

We've also been doing another size comparison today. I took a picture of her in her crib to compare with the one we took when she was a week old. So here she is at 1 week and 13 weeks. She is HUGE!

Katie was weighed today and she has now reached 11lbs 11oz. So she is the same size as the little boy who was born at the same time as her in hospital!! Ouch!

BUMBO!! BUMBO!!

Katie's been coming along in leaps and bounds at the moment. She's a lot more aware of her surroundings, and is starting to use both hands to bash poor Mr Whoozit around! She's been treated to a new gadget this week - a Bumbo. The Bumbo allows her to sit up straight even though she doesnt quite have the strength or coordination to do it on her own yet. She seems to like it :)

Here are a few more pictures. You can see that Katie has mastered a couple of new tricks - thumb sucking, and sitting with support. I also think she is looking very grown up in her bouncy chair, and after Rob's last post, I just wanted make sure you all knew who Katie loves!!!

Sleeping thru...

Well, for the last two nights Katie has managed to sleep from 9pm to 6am. Sarah has got up at 3am each morning anyway, 'just to check' :o)

Unfortunately, the long sleeps have affected her moods during the day, and Sarah is actually hoping that she wakes up tonight if its going to improve her mood for tomorrow!

We're actually starting to see some smiles now, although she's very selective about who she gives them to (Daddy) and who doesnt get any (Mummy). See if you can see which photo had which parent present....
