Going exploring

Katie's been having great fun on all the playparks recently - here you can see her enjoying the tunnel at Birdworld.

She's also become a LOT more aware of the camera - 'Smile please!' Also, not quite how much 'burple' she seems to be wearing!

Multi-tasking

Mummy had put me ina this dress, which I obviously didn't want to wear, so I called Daddy to tell him whilst I was reading my book. Although mummy reassured me that I looked lovely, I cried so much even after waking from my nap that in the end I got to wear the skirt I wanted to wear that day!

What am I thinking?

Mummy sometimes would like to know what I was thinking. I'm in deep thought here, probably planning how to make Mummy do something silly again.

May the Force be with you

Here I am showing off my Jedi Master tricks once again.

Mummy likes this picture

We went out for a walk when Grannie and Grandpa were here and Daddy and I did lots of walking together. Mummy likes the picture because we're moving in time with each other.

Yummy, I've got the taste for this now.

One evening I spotted Daddy having something to drink and decided I wanted some, Mummy and Daddy thought that if I tasted it I wouldn't ever want to have any ever again. But actually I enjoyed it so much I was trying to crack into Daddy's beer at home. Sadly I never quite managed to get into the can!

Cor, this cooking lark is tiring

Katie helped me by peeling an onion. This was obviously very hard work, because suddenly she went all quiet and I turned round to discover her like this...

Future Vocation?

I’ve been watching out for any signs that Katie has a preferred vocation already, and I think I may have spotted a couple...

Diva?

She can be very demanding and certainly has started having tantrums if she doesn’t get her own way, so maybe she’ll be a popstar in the future.

Or maybe a builder?

I think that she has visions of being a foreperson though as people are often instructed to wear the hat, saw the bricks and build a tower. Sadly the towers built so far not been suitable for long term project and with the exception of the tower Uncle Tom built, all have been smashed down. Sigh.

In fact I think this power thing has gone to her head, as she often decides who can and can’t come in, her she is being a prison guard and not letting me up the stairs. :o)

Her Dad is very pleased that she also appears to have potential for a football pundit, here she is on the first day of the new season making sure she is up to date with the news.

Size Comparison, Hamish and I again!

I love Hamish, I’d take him everywhere if Mummy would let me. It is hard to believe that Hamish now looks so small and I look so tall! Here I am giving Hamish a cuddle and a kiss.

We went to Corfu

Katie loved the sea, the pool, and making her Guideparents play stack the rings! She also seemed to enjoy traveling by boat and plane. Although for the nervous flyer her screams at landing and takeover probably weren’t the most reassuring.

1st Birthday Party/Naming Ceremony

We had a great day, Katie got lots and lots of presents, which we’re still creating and writing thank you cards for! She loves playing with all of the new toys preferably at the same time. Katie’s Guideparents did a fab job and Katie is really enjoying the props that came with the speech. :o)

Grannie and Grandpa, sorry that this isn’t a new photo for you – but we love it so much it had to be included.

We have walking!!

One week before Katie’s first birthday she started to walk. I thought we were going to have to wait longer, despite the fact that she has been standing and cruising for months as she didn’t seem to want to brave it alone. However, once she started she was off, just in time to get herself into even more mischief on holiday!

Picnics in the sun

Last saturday, we had a picnic on the playing fields opposite, and Katie demolished a nectarine :)

She then came home and treated us to a little tune she likes to call 'Bashing the hell out of the piano'.

A Pox Upon Us!

Whilst Katie was preening herself in the mirror today, she noticed that she had a few small spots on her head. Once she had told her Mummy, they went to the nice Doctors, and they said that she had Chicken Pox. Luckily, Katie had been out with all her friends just a few hours before, so she's already learning the importance of 'sharing'.

Hopefully, she'll manage a good nights sleep (for a change) in her new pyjama's. Thank you Uncle Ben, Auntie Kay & Cousin Reuben!!

Going out....and leaving me with HIM?!?

Katie wasn't too impressed when Mummy had a Girlie Night Out this Saturday. I dont think I'm that bad at looking after her - after all, she gets to share my beer and chilli. What more does she want?

Dont stop me now!

Katie's having such a good time. She's having a ball. She's also crawling now.

From a tentative start, we have suddenly progressed to the point where she thinks nothing of crawling off for a few metres, particularly in the direction that Mum disappeared.

I cant upload the 2.9Mb movie to the blog, but have uploaded it to here for your amusement!
